I have an Italian print that calls out a material of 39NiCrMo4. Do you know what an equivalent US steel would be for this material?
Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

39NiCrMo3 (1.6510) is the current designation according to EN 10083-3. It is roughly equivalent to grade 9840, which appears in ASTM A 519 (seamless tubes) and not much else. It has been relegated to the former SAE standards in SAE J1249.
